Nigel M. de S. Cameron
Nigel Cameron is Associate Dean of Academic Doctoral Programs, the chair of the Systematic Theology Department, and a professor in the bioethics program at Trinity University, International in Deerfield, Illinois.
Dr. Cameron, is general editor of the journal Ethics and Medicine, an international Christian journal in bioethics co-sponsored by the Center. Holder of a Ph.D. degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, Dr. Cameron is the author of The New Medicine: Life and Death after Hippocrates (Crossway, 1992). He chairs the Board of the Centre for Bioethics and Public Policy in London, England, and has lectured and published internationally on Christian perspectives in bioethics for more than ten years.
Dr. Cameron has sought to develop a broad perspective on developments in contemporary medicine, post-Christian and post—Hippocratic- He sees abortion and euthanasia today as symptoms of a more general disease in which many centuries of relatively fixed medical/ethical tradition have collapsed.
