This episode features Dr. Jeff Barrows (Senior Vice President of Bioethics and Public Policy for the Christian Medical & Dental Associations) and was originally presented at CBHD's 29th annual conference in 2022, Integrity and Conscience: Bioethics and the Professions. Dr. Barrows will provide stories of conscience involving healthcare professionals seeking to practice medicine according to Biblical and Hippocratic principles, but have been confronted with scenarios in which they were faced with a choice of either violating their conscience or the possibility of losing employment. He will also briefly discuss the framework in which practicing healthcare professionals can evaluate the validity of their conscience concerns.
