Lori Way and her family live in Southern California. They embarked on an intense cancer battle in 2019 when her husband Ken was diagnosed with acute leukemia, underwent a stem cell transplant, and is currently living with chronic health conditions related to his transplant (graft vs. host disease). Through these circumstances, Lori continues to experience God’s presence and peace in unique ways in the midst of the daily strains of caregiving.
Lori has been teaching for twenty-four years. She currently teaches world history and Bible at Heights Christian Junior High School. She holds an MA in Educational Ministries from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a BA in Educational Ministries from Moody Bible Institute. She enjoys writing Bible curriculum for Heights Christian Schools, as well as traveling to places of historical importance. She and her husband have led numerous tour trips to Israel. She is also on the board for a nonprofit organization, River of Comfort Ministries, that provides basic necessities and medical care to those in need in Narok, Kenya. She hopes to encourage others, especially caregivers, who may be feeling overwhelmed by their circumstances.
