Kenny is a native of Connecticut and veteran of the United States Air Force. He graduated from Berklee College of Music (’08) with a Bachelor of Music and Reformed Theological Seminary (’15) with a Master of Divinity. He is currently finishing up his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Before going into full-time ministry, Kenny fixed radar in the Air Force, slung cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory, played guitar professionally in venues across the globe, and sold real estate in Nashville, TN. His ministry work has included various pastoral leadership roles at churches and ministries in Tennessee and Illinois—his most recent post being Interim Senior Pastor at Village Church of Lincolnshire (EFCA). Kenny's multi-disciplinary writing has been featured in a wide range of publications, from Forbes and Business Insider to LifeWay’s Collegiate magazine. He is also the co-author of How to Be Present in an Absent World (Zondervan, 2020) and author of Launch Your Life (Thomas Nelson, 2013). Kenny lives in Mount Juliet with his wife, Suzanne, and their three children: Cesar (6), Ellie (4), and Sophie (2). They've also got a baby on the way.
