Hans Madueme, MD, PhD is Associate Professor of Theological Studies at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA. Born in Sweden, he grew up in Nigeria, Austria, and England. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, he received an MDiv and a PhD in systematic theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS). While completing his dissertation, he served as the Managing Director of the Carl F.H. Henry Center for Theological Understanding and the Associate Director of the Jonathan Edwards Center at TEDS. He was on the editorial board of Trinity Journal and is presently a review editor for the journal Themelios.
Dr. Madueme co-edited the book Adam, the Fall, and Original Sin and has two forthcoming books: The Evolution of Sin? Sin, Theistic Evolution, and the Biological Question and Reading Christian Theology in the Protestant Tradition (co-edited with Kelly Kapic). His research interests are in systematic theology and the interface between science and theology.
Dr. Madueme is a ruling elder at St. Elmo Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga (PCA). He and his wife and their two children live in Flintstone, GA.
