Born and raised in Colorado, I moved to Chicago to attend Moody Bible Institute where I received my undergraduate degree in Bible and Education with a Youth Ministry emphasis. I worked as the Summer Youth Worker in Evidence at Calvary Memorial Church the summers before and after my senior year of college. CMC was my church through college, having met Moriah (later to become my wife - whose home church is CMC) during orientation week of our freshman year at Moody. We were married in December 2001 and have been in pastoral ministry ever since, serving at two churches prior to returning to CMC in 2008 to be the Students’ Pastor. To date, we have six children. Our oldest child was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and our other five children have been born or adopted in Wisconsin. I received a MA in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and MA in Bioethics from Trinity Graduate School in 2019.
