General Criteria Requirements Application Application


  • A cover letter describing your sense of God’s calling (vocation) on your life and how it relates to the vision and purpose of The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity.
  • A two-page statement of your interest in Christian bioethics (general or specific topics).

Statements that engage with one or more of the following CBHD concerns will receive preference: the relationship between biblical interpretation and/or theological studies and moral considerations in medicine, science and technology; the relationship between Scripture and Christian ethics; Christian cultural exegesis and engagement with developments in medicine, science, and technology. Statements significantly exceeding the two-page length will not be read.

  • A copy of your curriculum vitae.
  • Two Letters of Recommendation about your qualifications for an Orr Fellowship:

The recommendation should be emailed directly from the recommender. If you send more than two letters, we will only read the first two.
