The Theology Relating to Donor Insemination in the Roman Catholic Church

The Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and many Protestant Churches have always been opposed to the use of donor gametes in human reproduction. This presentation examines the theological and ethical reasons behind this opposition.

This presentation was a session at the Center's 2012 Academy of Fellows Consultation on "The Ethics and Theology of Synthetic Gametes" held on November 3, 2012. For more information on the consultation visit here.
