Mario Tafferner, MA, serves as the Robert D. Orr Endowed Fellow and Research Analyst at The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity. He has an MA in Semitics and Ancient Near Eastern Studies from the University of Marburg and is currently pursuing his PhD in Old Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Mario’s bioethical interests are in the areas of death and dying, theological anthropology, and the biblical view of the “good life”. Besides his academic work, he is a candidate and licentiate of the Presbyterian Church in America’s Chicago Metro Presbytery.

Mario is from Giessen, Germany and currently lives in Deerfield, Illinois with his wife and young daughter. He and his family hope to move back overseas to pursue professorship in Europe.
