D. Christopher Ralston, Ph.D., is Manager of Public Policy, Assistant Manager of Curriculum Development, and Senior Editor of the Journal of the Christian Institute on Disability at Joni and Friends International Disability Center, a nonprofit ministry dedicated to accelerating Christian ministry in the disability community. Previously, he was a freelance writer and editor and earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy (with a concentration in biomedical ethics) from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He was an Associate Editor and Contributor for the Beyond Suffering Bible (Tyndale, 2016), and has served as an Assistant Managing Editor of the Journal of Medicine and Philosophy and Managing Editor of the journal Christian Bioethics. He is also the co-editor of two edited book volumes—Philosophical Reflections on Disability (2009) and The Development of Bioethics in the United States (2013), both published by Springer Academic Press. He is a member of the Board of Reference for the Public Policy Center of the Christian Institute on Disability at Joni and Friends and an Associate Fellow of The Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity at Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. Dr. Ralston is a graduate of Biola University (B.A., Communications; M.A., Philosophy of Religion and Ethics), Trinity International University (M.A., Bioethics), and Rice University (Ph.D., Philosophy). His research and writing centers around issues at the intersection of disability, theology, and ethics.
