Barbara J. WhiteFellowBarbara J. White, Ed. D., RN, CNS is currently Professor and Associate Dean for Nursing and Health Professions at Colorado Christian University in Denver, Colorado. During the 2006-2007 academic year, Dr. White had the distinguished honor of serving as a Senior Fulbright Scholar at Yonsei University College of Nursing in Seoul, Korea. For the previous twenty years, Dr. White had been faculty and administration for Regis University Department of Nursing in Denver. As an expert faculty, Dr. White teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in healthcare ethics, leadership, community health, clinical teaching, and curriculum development. Administratively, she has developed innovative education-practice partnerships that deliver BSN curriculum at the worksite for health care employees who combine full time work and study. In addition to her international work in Korea, Dr. White teaches and consults in Hangzhou and Yanji, China and has taken nursing students to China for international and global studies. A recognized leader in healthcare and nursing education for over 35 years, Dr. White has served on the national executive committee for Nurses Christian Fellowship USA (NCF). She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nurses Christian Fellowship International (NCFI) where she collaborates with international leaders who are committed to advancing a Christian worldview in nursing. She has led the establishment of an International Leadership Development Program for NCFI which she will initiate in September, 2008 in Jos, Nigeria. Dr. White is a Fellow at The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity located at Trinity International University in Chicago. She is actively involved in a variety of professional and community based organizations including Sigma Theta Tau International, American Nurses Association and Friends of Nursing. She publishes and speaks nationally and internationally on ethics, moral leadership, community health, and collaborative partnerships. Dr. White received her BSN from the University of Illinois, her MS in Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and her Ed. D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. Dr. White is married. She and her husband John, a CPA and international business consultant, have two adult children.
