Jay HollmanFellowJay Hollman, M.D. is an interventional cardiologist with Ochsner Clinic of Baton Rouge. He is an adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine at Louisiana State University Medical School. He received his B.S. from Seattle Pacific in Chemistry cum laude and graduated from Oregon Medical School with his M.D. in 1975. He did postgraduate training at Emory University affiliated hospital for seven and one half years completing programs in internal medicine, clinical cardiology, and interventional cardiology. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine both in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Dr. Hollman has co-authored over 200 articles and abstracts, mostly on subjects related to interventional cardiology. He has traveled extensively giving invited lectures in Europe, South America, and Asia. He has been active in Christian Medical Association serving on their committee on international education. He has also been active in American Scientific Affiliation, having served on executive council and as its President. He has also edited a book on medical ethics, New Issues in Medical Ethics, published by the Christian Medical Association. His interest in medical ethics is broad, includes patient care issues, new technologies, and international ethics education. Dr. Hollman is blessed with a wife, Charlotte, who practices part-time as a Pediatric Neurologist. They have three sons, the youngest of which is autistic with a degenerative neurological disorder.
